The Ho-Chunk Nation has confirmed a September 26, 2026 opening date for its new casino resort in Beloit, adding another property among Wisconsin casinos, as a separate tribal casino proposal near Kenosha remains under federal review.
The Beloit Casino Opening
Ho-Chunk Nation President Jon Greendeer confirmed that the casino portion of the $705 million Beloit development will open September 26, 2026. The project includes 1,500 slot machines, 44 table games, a sportsbook, and multiple dining and beverage options. The resort sits on a 32-acre site at the southeast corner of Willowbrook and Colley roads, near Interstate 39-90.
Hotel and Phase Two
A 312-room hotel and conference center are planned for a second phase of construction, with an opening targeted for 2027. Once complete, the Beloit development is expected to become one of Wisconsin's largest casino resorts.
Jobs and Local Impact
The project is expected to create more than 1,000 jobs in the Beloit area, and the Ho-Chunk Nation has been holding hiring events ahead of the opening. The Beloit property adds to the tribe's existing network of casinos, which includes locations in Wisconsin Dells, Black River Falls, Tomah, Nekoosa, Wittenberg, and Madison.
The Kenosha Hard Rock Proposal
A separate casino proposal near Kenosha remains under federal review. The Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin would own the facility, with Hard Rock International serving as developer and manager, on about 60 acres west of Interstate 94. A public comment period on the Bureau of Indian Affairs draft environmental assessment has closed, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Department of the Interior are reviewing the administrative record. If approved, the application would go to Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers for review.
Wisconsin's Betting Landscape
Wisconsin sports betting remains available through tribal casino sportsbooks, including the sportsbook planned for the Ho-Chunk Beloit property, as state law does not allow independent commercial operators to offer wagering directly to the public.
